Instrument cluster lighting question
So I recently got a new gauge cluster face on my BRZ 2015. It is red so barely visible during the day. Therefore in order for me to see it I have to turn on my parking lights or lights in general.
Does anyone know of a way to keep the instrument lighting on no matter the time of day, or when the lights are off. Any other suggestions would be great. I guess I may put the stock one back on if it becomes annoying. Thank you. |
Only thing could be rewiring the cluster to the ACC voltage instead of the light switch. check the manual for the wiring diagrams

But.. the stock cluster is also red.
The cluster should get brighter during the day when the headlights are off, and turning your headlights on would dim them. Also, could your brightness adjustment knob (to the left of the steering wheel) be on low? |
Cluster does not provide power/light at all during the day to the numbers and letters. Just the Needles. Adjustment is full blast and clearly dims and goes up and down during the night.

I sadly do not believe the Cluster, at least on my 2015 Limited provides any light to the gauge during the daytime.
Stock gauges are white, and therefore would not require any lights. http://st.motortrend.com/uploads/sit...nt-cluster.png |
