This sounds like a quick way to make money off of other people's effort and work. A free ticket isn't compensation at all. And to that you designed the kit doesn't make it any more valuable. I guess your self satisfaction is supposed to be their compensation to you.

I'm still going to try though. :popcorn:

Yeah, but just think. It doesn't take long to sketch out a little design. But to manufacture those parts is quite difficult. Besides... most people on this forum have already designed custom body parts. :)

You get to design a lip and possibly get one for free? Bargain.

Its called spec work and its partly what the design world suffers from in the way of free work and taking advantage of young designers. Resulting in clients expecting more and more for less.

Theres a lot f talk about doing free spec work and these kinds of contest and how its hurting our industry more than helping.
