Key fob wasn't unlocking door/trunk until I used my physical key.
Any one else encounter this issue? I have a 15' Limited BRZ. The other day I went to open my trunk and was pressing the under button. Didn't open. So I pressed the trunk button on my fob, still didn't open. I decided to press the trunk button inside the car, but my door didn't unlock automatically when I tried opening it even though the fob was in my pocket like normal. I then tried pressing the unlock button on fob, car didn't respond.
I then used the physical key to open my trunk and door. After that the car locked and unlocked like normal. This is the first time it's happened since I got the car in May and a few days have passed and it hasn't occurred again. Was this just a freak accident or is this a sign there's an issue? |
Was the key near the car for an extended period of time before this happened?
The system will eventually disable itself if it detects the key for an extended time, there is a bit about it in the user manual. |
There's a valet lock in the trunk on the left side. Make sure it's not enabled.
This is what it looks like. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1331271821 |
