Drivers side rattle/vibration near A pillar?

post installing my flexfuel kit I seem to be hearing a rattle vibration that changes with speed that appears to be coming from the drivers side A pillar/dash area. My wife noticed it as well and believes it to be on the drivers side.

I have checked all the pieces of the flex fuel kit and I don't think it is the issue as I've made sure everything is well secured and zip tied (even with rubber spacers on the sensor itself).

I have searched and most of what I see or read is related to the rear deck. I did see a thread related to the headliner. I've checked under the hood and can find nothing that would seem to be the issue.

Suggestions or thoughts on what could be the issue? I believe all the panels removed for the install of the flex fuel kit are reinstalled correctly.

Many thanks.

it will go away once you drift around in it. :)

check speaker grill and smack it

Speaker/speaker grille. TSB for early 2013 production runs. IIRC, some wires interfere with how the grille seats in its socket.

Worth a look.

So do I just pop the speaker grille out and secure the wires? What is the DIY fix in this instance? I tried slapping the grille a few times to see if it would seat better but no luck.

What tool are you using to pop out the grille?

bump for help.

I've had the same issue. Pull your A pillar trim and look and see if the metal brackets holding the curtain airbags to the actual A pillar of the chassis are loose. There's also one higher up by the headliner.

how do you pull the A pillar trim? can I find that in the service manual?

Just pull on it. It is held in with metal clips

Did this work? I have a rattle in the same area. I have a 2015 FRS as well :/

Worked on my car. Mine sounded like a persistent squeaky rattle while driving that would go away if I pressed on the A pillar trim.
