Data acquisition system to try during track days
 

Hey guys, some of you know that I've been designing a data acquisition system for our cars for a while. For those that don't know, have a look at my sig and the vids. It is essentially like an AIM Solo DL but w/o the financial commitment, lol. The following parameters are currently being logged by this system:

RPM
Speed
GPS Speed
GPS Position
Throttle
Brake
Steering Angle
Gear Indicator
Oil Temp
Rad Temp
Individual Wheel Speeds
Remaining Fuel
Lateral Gs
Longitudinal Gs
Yaw

I've decided to loan some of my prototypes out to try during track days. I currently have 3 prototypes to loan with the potential of creating 2 more depending on interest, for a max of 5.

The first image is the one that's installed in my car. The other 2 are the prototypes I have. They're missing screens because they're hard to source and kinda expensive. I unfortunately won't be at either of those dates, but I've seen the prototype at a couple PITL autocrosses and been impressed.

It looks like you've put a ton of work into it. I hope you can sell them sometime in the not too distant future :)

@Rameus I'll also be at PITL occasionally so I'll bring the prototypes there as well. If you see me, just ask me if I still have one to lend out ^^

Please remind me to come check this system out! I'm working on the 22nd and the PITL events so I'll be busy.

That is pretty awesome. I am always on this forum and cannot believe this is the first time I am seeing this. If your ever planning a day in the states (Watkins, Pocono, Limerock, NJMP) please let me know. I would love to check this out and compare the data to my Aim Solo

You heading out to JRP's day on July 31st? (BTW you showing my wife the oil cooler and such, we ended up getting the mishimoto oil cooler and probably put it in sometime next week)

This looks great Alexis. Too bad I won't be at TMP on those days, as I'm going on 21st.

How much does the parts cost you to build one of these. You still plan to release the plans for DIY.

@tanner I won't be there :( GP is expensive, lol. I'm glad you guys got an oil cooler. Do you guys live close to Markham?
@Sideways I'll be doing more CTMP but I also do the occasional autocross. TBH, I've spend quite a bit on random parts here and there. Some parts are hard to source as well and not to diy friendly :(

Yeah, if you can make it to any of the PITL event this year, would love to finally try it out. Been looking forward to this for a while. :thumbup:
