Best performance mod under $100

As the title states, what do you think is the best performance mod under $100.

So far i've seen

1) perrin crank pulley
2) K&N air filter

Any others you guys can think of?

learn to internet? fuck mang.

5 second google of "chicago autocross"

http://scca-chicago.com/chicago-scca-solo/

here are prices

:slap:

when you show up, ask for ride alongs, and ask for people to ride along with you = FREE COACHING

The 1000 dollar ones sound like the very high end ones, usually more flavor than anything. Also for those type of prices I'm thinking its 2 days on full race track.

We host 2 day track schools for 495 here in Toronto Canada, but we're non profit. Others tend to charge more cuz they want to make a buck.

in addition to that, most all local SCCA groups do an autocross class for newcomers two or three times a year. I'm attending one on the 4th.

Seeing how well this car is doing at autocross without even being fully prepped against spec miatas, I think that some seat time will be extremely valuable.

I'm paying $350 for a day at Laguna Seca with an instructor, but the cheapest ones out here can be under $100. Just go out on the track and learn the car. It's seriously amazing.

BTW did I mention Laguna? I'm so stoked.

that sounds awesome.

But hey everyone let's not confuse autocross with full on HPDE track days or instructor led training on a big track- that will go depending on where you live from $225 up to thousands per day. Autocross is only 30-40 bucks, or an autocross noob day is like 50 where I live. Car control clinics in my area are around $100, and HPDEs are 225-500.

better yet:

"Mini Test & Tune – Saturday, July 21st at Miller Park
An excellent opportunity to get your car dialed in on a short, repeatable course. This will be a single timed 20-25 second course run on half of our normal course area. Arrive onsite at 9am, we will run cars until around 5pm. Cost is $25.

Registration is open until Thursday at midnight, there will be NO onsite registration on Saturday. Register at
http://register.scca-milwaukee.org/

Probably many more runs than at a regular auto-x or even a school. Short, easy to remember course, and likely a whole number of people who'd volunteer to ride with you to give you pointers. But hey, you can also put parts on the car for no reason. It is your 100 bucks....

There is a regular event the following day too.

I agree with Tainen on AutoX. I did my first AutoX in June and did horrible results. But I learned alot from that. Recently I did a AutoX in the Big Northwest Subaru Meet, and I beat out a decent number turbo modded STI's on the course. Just from two AutoX's I have become a better driver and made the car drive faster :) I'm hoping to learn even more in upcoming car control clinics and Novice AutoX school.

More seat time = better car/driver

AutoX (x3). You'll become a better driver which will make the stock car feel even better LOL.

Geez, you guys are NOT using the gray matter between your ears.....the best mod. for under $100.......boot your wife/girlfriend/slacker buddy out of the car. You just lost 100 pounds (or more) of dead weight. Uh, and it's free. Well, you might pay for it later.....if you know what I mean.
