Just saw that little while ago on the Top Gear fb page. It looks exciting! Can't wait to read what they all have to say about the GT-86/FRS/BRZ :)

Those lines and the positioning of the 86 in the dead center of the cover has me mildly optimistic.

Seeing some of the other cars there... I'm not expecting the GT86 to 'win'. I'm sure Clarkson will like it...but even in terms of 'soul', a few cars I spotted have it handily beat (granted, at a MUCH higher price point)

You have a valid perspective... It's nice to know that it was recognized along with such great performing cars though.

Good question. I may give the local Barnes and Noble a call prior to stopping by later this week. I assume this would be the August issue, unless they do things differently over in the UK.

I can not wait to check this issue. I do hope in the new season the GT86 will be in one of the episodes.

Wow. That is great honor for the GT86.

Although I will keep my expectations grounded. Like it has been said already, there are many cars in that line up worthy of the top spot.

possibly? Well they do have the 86 as the front cover...

It may not win, but I definitely expect at least top 5. The only cars I see that really match it's heart is the GTR, BMW, and Aventador. Aside from those, only the track day cars would bump it out.

i hope top gear does a good video on the 86 or brz, i dont think they have scion in the UK.

Top Gear magazine is available on Newsstand on iOS devices. I'll let you know how it did as soon as I get the chance to get the issue.

While I love my car, I find it hard to imagine it stacking up against cars that cost more than 10x its base price, regardless of cost/reward factors.

I just hope it doesn't get shredded. :P

I don't know why everyone was worried about getting "shredded" by the other cars. This entire article was about being able to enjoy the most of the car. Out of the 24 cars listed the GT86 was the clear choice for a car that could answer the needs of the article.

Still surprise it won.

Could not read anything in the article. Just the big lettered quotes in the scans. Not enough material on the other cars to read. I believe I'll wait for the whole magazine pdf etc. to roll on the internet.

I'll buy a copy if it's on the newstand on ipad.

I want a copy of this just to show friends when they ask why i want this car over others. lol

It's a fantastic read. Lots of amazing cars. They paired them all into categories, and then chose the top from each to go into the final round for the drive across scotland.

So many awesome cars amongst the 24. A lottery win could just be spent picking from them :)

As a side note, might want to update the thread title to say SPOILER ALERT. Some folks still like reading whole articles and might want to discover themselves.

It's top to get in a spot to topgear top guys to review the car, but it look to me the 86 is right in the center of the magazine this time among those supercars ! it's looked very optimistic for 86 could have been among the winner best car for topgear guys. This would be an epic & amazing achievement ! After driving the 86, I see why you just can't drop a 500hp bomb power to a car and said it the best car ???! The best driver car need to have good chassis, balance, steering & handling in it class. The affordable 86 has changed the car world period. :)

As if waiting for my car hasn't been difficult enough.

Clarkson loves making insane pronouncements when he likes something. I think they just brought the other cars along so he could put the 86 on a larger winners podium.

I find it funny that even over in Europe, there are people that would buy the BRZ just because it doesn't have a Toyota badge.
