The norm is Torsen though isn't it?

@nikitopo @Scrappydoo

Mine is a 2015 model year registered in 2016.

Yes the norm is the Torsen. Very few were sold with an open diff.

Same as Japan with the R trim.

Only North America gets Torsen Diff standard on all trims.

Are you sure about that? What is your source?

Yes it was offered in the bare bones JDM version. This is how we got it here. They still offer it with the +'17 versions, but now only in Japan and only for A/T:

Sorry, how does that prove that it's only the US?

I've never heard of an open diff on a UK Subaru. I was told exactly the opposite by Subaru UK.

This trim level was never offered in UK. Only in Japan, Germany, Netherlands and Australia. These cars had also 16" wheels.

So even the term "Euro Spec" isn't actually accurate. It breaks down even further. Same as the US and Canadian versions can have a few minor differences so they can't really be called "North American Spec".

Just learned today from our Subaru Dealer in the Philippines that the final drive ratio did not change for our market 2017 models.

I don't think many of the 17 mechanical upgrades made it to the "Euro" spec cars. Even the MTs still use the old intake parts. It is speculated that the changes did not receive approval for EU emission requirements.

We joined the forum such a long time ago and I just go by memory on what were discussed before. I'm in Canada and I believe @nikitopo is from Germany.

Powered heated windows? Heated rear window, powered front windows, normal unheated windscreen and heated/powered door mirrors?
