Car won't start after got hit on front bumper

My BRZ was parked and some old lady hit its front bumper while reversing her car on the parking lot from Kroger. She ran away but I had a dash cam so I got her. Anyway, from the looks of it, it was pretty big hit and now the car won't start at all. So I towed a car to the dealership just right now and was told that they would let me know within few days about this. Obviously, the front bumper is gapped heavily and there are noticeable scratches here and there. Should I worry about this? I just hope it's not an engine related kind of problem. So sad because I only had it for little over 3 weeks now and this happened :(

Most likely knocked a wire loose somewhere causing the not starting issue. Luckily you caught her on camera, as the damage can be extensive even when not really visible on bumper hits.

Can a sharp knock trigger the fuel cut off valve??

What's Kroger?.

It's seems so relevant but yet I don't know what it is.

Not just any grocery store though?

I'm missing how it fits in here.

I mean i think he's just giving us a location. Like i would say "i got hit parked outside of safeway".

A lot of people type the way they talk and when talking to friends they use familiar locations. On a forum you forget some people live in completely different areas so that a location statement means nothing.

if its an auto, the impact might have maladjusted the park or neutral interlock.

This has been reported on here before. We never did figure out if there is a fuel cut but in every other case the car eventually just started without any further problems.
I can't imagine there was enough speed built up while backing out of a parking spot to impact the engine. The bumper cover however could look like it was hit by a train. That just means it did it's job and absorbed the impact.

When you say "won't start" do you mean it cranks but doesn't fire or doesn't even crank?

At first, it cranks but won't fire. and after multiple attempts, it didn't even crank so I had no choice but towed it. and trust me, the lady was reversing super fast and an impact was huge :(
