Inivida N1 + Tomei UEL vs HKS hi power + UEL tomei
So I'm looking at either the invidia and hks hi power exhausts, and I'm wondering will either sound too raspy with the tomei uel headers?
I enjoy both the sound of the invidia and hks, so I just need some feedback from people who have ran either setup with the tomeis. Also the hks is a little more pricey, is it made of finer materials? |
Im running Tomei UEL with the Hi-power... I love the combo but there is some rasp around 3k-4k.

Anytime you get rid of the primary cat, how much "rasp" you will have will be greatly determined by what you run in your front pipe. The answer could be "no there's no rasp" to "yes your car will sound horrible".

HKS is either made in Japan or at their Thailand facility, usually sold to US in JPY and price fluctuates with the exchange rate, and this is greatly affected by US geopolitics and what goes on in Congress/White House. -alex |

Many exhaust components are often designed with no other consideration taken for mods elsewhere in the exhaust system. End users think "let's just get a quiet exhaust and straight pipe everything else" to mask the sound.. Pardon the pun, but there's just too much noise in what works well and what doesn't, and people keep spewing out the same wrong info. One can never answer an exhaust question without knowing what else is on the car. |
