Mine is rippled, portions of the corners of the door frame are pinched, and to achieve the same exact body lines would require a genie in a lamp. I was quoted 8 days minimum of labor for everything. That's not including the time i wait in line until they touch it. If i could show you in person, you would understand. OP has lighter damage luckily, but mine is going to require some time. Not sure if you did that on purpose... but I see what you did there... |

My issue is it's on the car facts. Yeah insurance will make it all better and yeah insurance will set me up with a rental or whatever but my vehicle will always carry that stigma... and sometimes you get messed around by dealers on your trade in value becUze of that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah he will be made whole. In a way. Besides the diminished value and knowledge of the vehicle not being "right" since no auto body repair ever gets 100% the same as factory. I've seen some goofy remarks before but why are you genuinely trying to stir the pot here, the guy is just venting. If you had to go through this (which you may have) would you genuinely just be like "meh. Oh well."? |

I had zero issues with insurance. I had a rental car right away. It took over a week to have a 6 inch slit in my quarter fixed. The job was perfect and there is no way I could even see a difference in the paint. All in all the repairs went perfectly. That does not mean for one second that I was "OK with it". It was heartbreaking to see that damage to my car and a total pain in the ass to get it fixed. The only bright spot was having cars on the highway slow down and pull over every time I came up behind them in that black Charger rental. |
Damn... I feel your pain. I once had a brand new car for 3 days before it was backed-into by a careless driver. It was still on the first tank of gas and had temp tags on it. The worst part was it took a month to repair because it was a new model and replacement parts were on back order.
Best you can do is try to take your mind off cars for a while and enjoy the rental. Maybe go on a road trip somewhere with it :) |
