100w 9005 bulbs

Anyone know if it is safe to run 100w halogen bulbs on the frs DRL?

I just recently bought these cause I want the white light DRL and realized it was 100w while car stocks are 65w.

No

Definitely not safe

would a heavy duty ceramic harness help? I know its mostly about the wire melting together, but if i get a harness that can stand the heat, wonder if that will make it safer.

The housing would melt and there is risk for fire.

I believe thats 100 watts per set so 50w each bulb, but i would double check with seller just to be safe. My frs HID is 35w per bulb so total watts is 70w and i have replaced my HID with LED bulbs 32w bulbs so total would be 64w per set.

Even if that were the case I would stay away as the seller would not be following proper standard conventions for expressing specifications then.

I just checked the link and if you scroll down to the product description it says 100w package..... so they are saying the total watts for the set is 100w so 50w each bulb but again i would just confirm to be sure. my set of leds are 72ish watts per set and they produce about 7000 lumens and they are 6k white if that matters to anyone XD

Definitely 100W per bulb. Bulbs aren't rated by package.

Also, HID's while running pull less power than a halogen, but their starting needs are higher.

Also, there's no reason to go to LED's on an HID setup...ever.
