Help me with the colors please
I'm planning to purchase an either FR-S or BRZ really soon but don't know which colors I should go for. With that being said, I want to hear from you guys what colors are the best for FR-S and BRZ. And yes, I know it is very subjective topic to discuss with but like I said I just wanna hear what you guys think. Thank you!

Too subjective. What colour do YOU want? If I was getting a BRZ, I'd go for blue. I went for an 86, so I got it in red. Why? Cause it looks awesome in the parking lot among the sober-colored garbage so I can't wait to drive it and feel great as soon as I see it.

I have firestorm- I think it looks amazing clean but scratches show freakishly well. I'm not sure I'd choose it again. People will also say that cops are watching you more but I've yet to even get pulled over since I bought it almost a year ago with daily driving and weekend getaways.
I can't confirm but whiteout I've heard is very expensive to get repaired/difficult to match so that is something to keep in mind- I'm sure someone else can confirm or deny that. My favorite in person is the Lunar storm from RS 2.0 or Asphalt. Picture of mine for reference. Attachment 154604 |
As for an FR-S, I would say either Hot Lava or a Silver Ignition are the best colors. Hot lava is really eye catching color on the street/road and the only color that is exclusive to the Scion/Toyota. Not to mention it looks absolutely shiny under the sunlight. Silver Ignition, on the other hand, is a color that you can only get through 10-series which have a lot of premium features that normal FR-S doesn't have. And the color itself is like silverish-blue which I think is pretty.
For the BRZ, I may bias since I owned one myself but you can't really go wrong with the Galaxy Silica Blue. World Rally Blue is nice color as well but I have seen 7 out of 10 BRZ owners go with that color so it kinda loses its value IMO. But they are both great color regardless. EDIT: Red also looks good on FR-S but not on BRZ in my opinion. Also, you can't really go wrong with the white but there are too many white cars on the street so yeah :/ |

Whatever you want.
jmho white/black/silver are boring and for rental cars and people concerned about resale value on their Camry. Everything else is passable, get whatever will make you turn back and look at the car again when walking away from it. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7348 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2597 I feel like ramblin' I went for asphalt/dark gray, at the time I wanted subtle, now I kind of wish I had Hot Lava, I think it's the best color for the car but with the dark grey I'm more tempted to have it wrapped down the line into a color I really like, I'd feel bad about covering up the orange. I still like the dark gray, it's subtly brilliant when well taken care of, but it doesn't make me smile like I think a brighter color would, part of that is I haven't taken good care of the paint, it is in bad need of a high quality detail/paint correction. |
I was on the fence between firestorm red and whiteout. Went with whiteout and don't have any regrets. Both colors look great IMO.

Everyone has reasons why they chose the colour they did; all of them legit reasons. You really need to go with the one you yourself prefer. Maybe you can tell us more about your preferences.

If you like the color go with it, and you won't regret it. |
