2013 FRS A/T - Strange Noise
 

Hello all, I have been off and on hearing this strange noise when the car is running and stopped. I can't seem to hear it when accelerating but that may be due to exhaust. To me, it doesn't sound like the normal crickets our cars make. I can hear the normal crickets and this noise at the same time. Anyone know what this could possibly be? Or is it just a really loud case of the crickets?

There have been a few reports of bad vacuum pumps on ATs.

I suggest you make or buy a mechanics stethoscope and try to isolate the source of the sound.

Thanks for the replies - Its easier to hear with headphones on full volume. I can try to get a better video. I'm going to be looking over the car this weekend and may have to try the stethoscope.
