Nono it will be STI pink version. With TURBOS. :D:D

Hit my 5 year anniversary back in October this year, and it's still going strong.

Apparently, the 5th year anniversary gift is silverware. I did just order twenty new wheel studs and lug nuts, so I think that counts. :D

Traditional 5 year is wood. I got nothing.

This one made me laugh. Good one. :w00t:
I almost needed one, but it only needed some grease on it.

I installed a new intake a few days ago and took a picture. Then I remembered about this post and thought to upload the picture. The engine bay still looks good also.

I have the same CAI. I kept the plumbing for the sound generator but haven't opened up the tube.

My 10 Series is bone stock and at 4.5 years old/25k miles the only issues are:

Leak from cam plate cover (very easy DIY a couple of years ago)
This month OEM Panasonic battery is beginning to wear down

This car comparable to my 45k mi '08 tC (replaced hatchback garnish under recall then the OEM battery in 2016) and 37k '06 Civic Si (replaced windshield cowl under warranty and repainted hood under recall).

I'm still very happy with this purchase, Japanese quality is still something you can count on. Not so sure about Korean, my '02 Elantra GT started having ignition issues after 2 years and again 2 years later).

Now if there was another cool (affordable) Japanese coupe worth purchasing besides the Miata RF.

I passed 5 years a few days ago. No problems at all. Car still runs great!

Rampage 12-25-2017 09:41 AM

My 26 year old son bought his 13 FR-S in June of 2013. So he is now at 4.5 years and has never had one single problem with the car. The only time it has been back to the dealer was for the two free oil changes that he got when buying it.

I like to remind him that I was the one that convinced him to test drive the car. He bought the car on the spot. He still loves it just as much as he did after that first drive.

MY16 RS 2.0 and 34k miles. I had all of the following replaced under warranty: A/C motor, one TRD wheel that was peeling and the fuel injection pump.

I'll just contribute because my car is EXACTLY on this time-frame! Pretty sure this post will by buried by other posts,

but I've had my Raven FRS since Dec of 2012! Never had a problem with the car ever since! Been driving this car as a daily since 2012!

contemplated many times to sell the car for a Lexus IS350, but in the end, I can't seem to let this car go!

I absolutely love this car and the whole concept (boxer/rwd) of the car!

Everyone always say that this car does not have enough power or it needs a turbo or its too slow; but I still honestly feel that all these people simply do not understand the philosophy of this car. They need to look elsewhere if that's the case

The only problem I have with the car is my panels are slowly misaligning such as my fender and the hood. And people keep opening doors to hit my car.

k thanks bye

Is your fender problem this one by any chance? If so, it's a really quick and easy fix.
Maybe you meant the gap between hood and the fender. If so, mine isn't perfectly aligned either. Not sure if it was like that from the factory or because of age.

RL_BRZ 12-26-2017 04:28 PM

5 years and 3 months... No issue... 82,000 miles...

Yeah it's the gap between hood and fender, but the alignment is like this

Reaching my 5 years in April, 100k in two weeks. The only major problem so far is the weak throwout bearing from the factory. Replaced it with an OEM Exedy kit (surprisingly, OEM is also Exedy).

I've also found that using Valvoline gear oil in the trans is a no go, gears will grind / bind upon take off. Replaced it with Motul 300 non-LS and the problem went away. Cheers to all the loyal owners!

Put $500 down in March and bought the first one delivered to the local dealership in June '12. VIN ends in 00367, so one of the earlier examples of BRZ in US. Recalled for incorrect Owner's Manual(!). Replaced right tail light under warranty twice but it still fogs up. No other issues. Daily driver. Only mods are backup camera and Homelink mirror. Recently had 60K service done at the dealership @ 58,500 miles. Very satisfied to date and will probably wait until the 2020 next gen BRZ comes out in '19 (hopefully) with a mild hybrid system to increase torque for my next vehicle purchase. This is the longest I've ever kept a car in my life.
