2016 with a case of the window squeaks

Hello,

This morning I got into my car to find the window squeaking upon closing the door. It only seems to happen when the door is closed and the window auto rolls up. Otherwise I can open and close my window without any problem. I went through and cleaned the glass but the squeak is still there. Searched the forum and found some people who took theirs in for warranty work to have it fixed. But I would assume that the 2016 would of been equipped with a "updated" window fix. Any ideas?

Can you hear if the squeak is coming from the window seal at the top? If so, pop into your Honda dealer and pick up a tube of Shin-Etsu grease. Its the best stuff for seal conditioning/lubrication and should resolve it.

If the sound is coming from inside the door itself, its probably something else. I haven't heard of any widespread window issues after the early 2013 models.

This is a problem with my car as well (2017 model).
Not only when it auto rolls up, but when doors are closed and u try to roll up the windows.

Will be bringing in the car for warranty to address a slew of other problems soon.

What other problems are you having? Also I used some Armor all auto glass cleaner on the whole window and the rubber around the window to clean it and now the squeaks are gone!

Rear deck is rattling (tried all the DIYs suggested on this forum), AC fan is whining really loud, a clunking sound when accelerating from low rpms.

I'll try giving the windows and the seals a good clean next though. Thanks!

Dirty window felts would make a squeal too.

Try cleaning the rubber window scraper along the top of the door on the outside.

Work a cloth down between the scraper edge and the glass, with windex or whatever you like in the cloth. Slide it back and forth a couple of times. You'll be surprised how dirty that scraper can get.

My driver's side window squeals like a stuck pig when it's even remotely damp outside. It's so loud that people standing near the car or walking close-by will turn their heads.

Now my driver's side window is deeply scored vertically, along the tracks where the window motor lifts/lowers it. They are deep enough to feel with your finger nail, and are visible from certain angles in certain lighting.

I'm well out of warranty so I doubt there's anything I can do now, but it's really annoying.
