get i have a 2017 Toyota 86 gts and i cant stand the ugliness off the key fob , but the new brz one looks amazing. is there anyway of reprogramming a braz one to work on my 86 ?.

it doesnt have to be cheap . i just wanna do if price wasnt an issue could it be done ?

thanks,Ryan

I 100% agree. The amount of time I have spent looking for a nicer looking case to fit the transponder is shameful.

One thing I will say though, is it is a lot lighter. Feels less premium but easier to forget it's in the pocket and considering it's keyless I don't often have to pull it out to show anyone how crap the key looks. Just don't use the valet.

+1. As with keyless start i never take it out of pocket, i don't care how it looks :)
Prefer spending on bits that i see/feel. Be it car interior or exterior ones. Of course after performance/handling upgrades done first :)

You can purchase a Corolla key fob (which is a way nicer fob) and transfer the components of your 86 key to the fob and get the key cut. That's what my girlfriend and I are doing for her FRS. She too hates the key you get with the car.

^^ What we went with...

Don't you feel it in your pocket?? Second thoughts, don't answer that..
