Passenger seat smells like sweat [Alcantara]

Hey guys, so my friend was sweaty from the gym, Sat in my car and now the seat smells like swamp ass. I washed it 5 times with merguards upholstery cleaner foam and the smell won't go away. Any ideas on how to get rid of the smell? I'm super butt hurt, my car is 2 months old.

srsly, though, it will fade. I keep a beach towel in my car.

Only use cleaners made for alcantara...

Sonax makes one, and I think BMW does too.

If you did you would know by now.

Stop sniffing your seat!

You sure it's the seat, and from that? Could it be something under the seat, or in the trunk? Dead bird or rodent near the firewall?

I get in my car 5-6 times a week after the gym and haven't had any issues. I rarely change before heading home and get in still sweaty. I don't think i'm "nose blind" to anything as I still have people comment how my car still has the new car smell after 2 years (likely just the leather conditioner and dash guard I use).

If the smell is in the seat and there is no other source you could try something like this to try and help eliminate the odor. Otherwise you're probably going to have to have the seat professionally cleaned in some manner - like removing the cover to clean and also cleaning the foam (most dry cleaners will be able to clean the foam cushions, however you'll want to avoid any still using Perchloroethylene or your car will smell like that forever instead).

Febreze.

If that doesn't work, get an ozone generator and ozone it for a half hour.

Isn't the foam closed cell so washing won't make any difference?

Air the car out and have a quiet word with your friend I say.

Contact Alcantara to help get the swamp ass out of your seats. If you call them record the conversation.
