Clear Bra

Hey guys, I'm looking to clear Bra my front bumper as the rock chips are getting on my goddamn nerves, car's barely 2 months old.

Are there any con's to clear bra'ing? and anyone know a good place thats cheap in Vancouver, BC?

I am pulling mine off (just the hood cover not the whole bra). Looks good for small chips but when bigger stuff hits and tears it the tattered plastic looks worse than the chips. No other cons though.

I was looking just to do the front bumper.

Yep I saw that. The theory is the same though. It isn't an invincible shield and if it gets hit hard enough it will tear and those tears look worse than the chips since there is really no way to touch them up.

IMHO, it's absolutely worth it. Prevents the vast majority of chips you would otherwise get.

Agree. I was just responding to his any cons question. The tears are a con but they are outweighed by the pros.

Worth it to me.

After much thought, I decided to clear bra my whole front--bumper, hood, fenders--plus rockers. The idea that sold me is that it's a sacrificial layer that takes the damage that would otherwise mar the paint. When the bra gets too beat up, you can replace it and the paint stays pristine. That's the theory, anyway, and it makes sense to me. I'm very happy with my decision.
