So Now I hit a flying block of wood on I-95. Is this a scratch or scuff? Its on the front to the left of the badge. What do I use to fix it? a rubbing compound? I searched but there didn't seem to be a definitive answer for my case. I attached a photo. Thanks for any help.

I'm sure some detailing expert will comment shortly but to me that looks promising, doesn't look too deep.

Any quality scratch remover rubbing compound should fix that right up. A rare case of "it'll buff out" is accurate.

put some wd40

Yes, just rub it in and watch the magic happen! It wont hurt the paint either so its a +
