Shiv doesn’t call the 2017 3.02 beta anymore. There are a lot of things that don’t work on it, and it obviously isn’t makin the power it could since V4 is supposed to be much better, but he says he doesn’t call it beta. I’ve been running it for months and it’s been fine. Very minimal knock, and the car seems to run well. Still excited for the V4 tune though.

As far as I know the V4 tunes are only for the 2017 models. I have heard no talk of a V4 tune for the earlier model years.

The likelyhood that the V2/3/4 are all just evolution of the same tune when new tables are discovered or he works out that certain things work well, probably from reading stuff on here at times. I doubt there's anything majorly different in the V4 to the V3 that would cause the V3 to hugely different.

The V4 is for the 2017-2018 models Which have different ecu’s. The V4 tune is supposed to make a lot more power than the V3.02 tune. Idk what’s actually different, but he’s gotten more power out of it. The 2017 tunes have taken some time to get to the same level as the tunes for the previous years.

well shiv never got back to me about what's new with the v3.0 tunes so I guess I'm just going to play it safe and stick with the v2.076 tune on my car. If it aint broke don't fix it right? I'm just going to wait until the official release for it does come it, if it ever does, and not use it while it is still in "beta"...

I agree 100%.its tempting to try a beta, but it's a beta for a reason

I emailed him last night asking him what’s up with the V4 for the 2017’s. I’ll update if I hear back from him.

Heading to the dyno tomorrow to compare my '17 Toyota 86 with Thermal R&D catback running the Stage 2+ E85 v3.02 tune and the new Stage 2+ E85 v4. I'll post results tomorrow!
