amazon steering wheel cover
1 Attachment(s)
i haven't seen anyone post about this i wanted to throw this out here as a cheaper option to buying a new steering wheel that cost $500+. i am not affiliated with this company, i just bought there product and really am happy with it.
Anyway its a steering wheel cover that stitches on over the factory wheel. I had no prior stitching knowledge, but after a few youtube videos i went for it and here are the results. I would have done a diy but had no idea how it would turn out. It took me about 2 and a half hours to install, the fitment was almost perfect but stretching is a must and a heat gun helps. most review say it doesn't fit but those people don't know how to properly install it. Its meant to be extremely tight. Material it great quality. The company makes like 50+ options so it will fit any interior style. They sell for like $59 IIRC LMK if you have questions EDIT: also product comes with double sided tape you use with the install..... DO NOT USE it. was easier without it, found a guy on youtube that messed his up pretty bad because of the tape. I didnt use it and it worked great without it. EDIT 2: more pics of stitching and material if you scroll down. |
Looks good!
What's the product's link? |

@frs_caskey Been checking these out (also on Aliexpress.) Wasn't sure about the skill required or end result. Thanks for diving in and posting pics.

I have only had it installed for 2 days but its already my favorite addition to the interior. |
Can you get a closeup of where you stitched it together on the wheel?

More pix?
Could you post some close-up pix; showing details of materials and the "stitching" you had to do?

This looks awesome!
Wish I had the ability to do it because I think I actually would. But I literally can't; I've got hand tremors, so sewing is probably impossible for me. |
