Pagani is a very tiny boutique builder, not large automobile corporations. Their CEO if you can even call him that is very involve in 1 or 2 cars they build. It's a completely different business. Pagani's clients are exclusive and very small market segment.

Anyone realize that Mr Hollis was probably creeping this forum since '09 as 'market research'? I would bet that we had a larger effect on the car than Jack did.

Perhaps if you met him you would change your mind. It's easy to dis a guy from your computer. You too Dimman- so he has other interests, including his family. Is that a problem for you?

If you were working 12 hour days and 80 hour weeks thinking about cars, strategizing about cars, in meetings about cars, presenting things about cars, organizing events involving cars, understanding cars, looking at cars, advertising cars, analyzing cars, and living, breathing, and pooing cars for almost every waking hour - yeah, I bet you would have some other hobbies as well. ;)

Btw, Hollis going from Scion to Toyota is an upgrade.

Things aren't getting done by you racing, modding, or driving cars. You have projects, goals, people to manage, ideas to present, community organization events to administrate and things to do that are outside of those fun activities.

VP of Scion is not a "pay me to be a car enthusiast" position, it's getting paid to execute a strategy with a multi-million dollar budget to meet sales goals.

You wouldn't have a clue what to do in his shoes for even just one day.

But on the other hand I could probably generate perpetual declining sales, until an enthusiast-led development team gave me a practically guaranteed win.
