Jack Hollis is out at Scion
 

I just read where Jack is now out at Scion. He is being replaced by Doug Murtha. Jack is going over to become VP of Toyota marketing.

Same here. He actually impressed me with his knowledge of the FRS. Even though he kinda seemed a tad sleazy

He wasn't all that bad to me.

He's in marketing...that's a prerequisite. They are, after all, professional liars. ;)

Goes to show that Jack is about selling a brand and not making a great product. The FR-S was giving to them on a silver platter, and now he is riding that wave of success.

Awwww.... COME ON! Getting my hopes up with "Jack is out" then you tell me he's going to Toyota marketing? Might as well grated my face with a cheese grater then poured salt water over it. *headdesk*

I have friends that work at Toyota. Moving to Toyota from Scion in the same position is a big promotion.

why the hate?

Consumers don't like salemen I get that but the guy actually knows the products and genuinely appreciates the cars that he sells. To me if you can commit to a brand enough to praise the xB with a straight face, that's commitment.

Well to be fair, Scion did a great job creating a lot of hype/traffic for the FRS. Just look at the marketing between the FRS and BRZ and it's very clear Scion got the word out much better then Subaru.
