e85 kicks ass

my friend finally got the balls to do the e85 OFT tune. It is a serious upgrade. This car should have come from the factory like this. The engine seems to run much smoother. The idle is very stable and the crickets have completely disappeared. Anyone know of a website of app of gas stations that g-have e85 fuel?

Don't know how current info in that thread is. You can also use:

I use gas buddy on android. switch the settings to e85 only so it only shows e85 stations.

Are you in SE Florida by any chance?
I can point you to a couple of stations.

I haven't had such luck with E85; car feels sluggish, feels like there's no power down low. When I pull away in first I have to give it more gas than on stock, or on the OFT 93 tune (which is really great). Crickets are there sometimes. And between 2500 and 3200 rpm there engine sounds a lot louder than before, but there's no knock, and everything appears to be ok in my data logging. :(

Nice! The one I've used is a Shell on Sheridan and Pine Island Rd. I've also seen it on the Mobil at Miramar Parkway close to 172 Ave, but have never gotten it. Saw someone else get some before I got the tune. Where do you get yours?

Since they never post the price of e85. How do you know without visiting every gas station.

Hm, I wonder why that is. Can anyone shed light on this?

Considering going with an OTS E85 tune on my relatively stock 2014 FR-S.

I live in southeast Florida. I use cheap UGas and Westar E85 because that's what's close to me, and it's night and day from 93. Gears 1-3 should pull harder. In 4th and 5th on 93, the car would slow down it's acceleration, but now on E85 it continues pulling like it's in 3rd. I've been on corn for about a year, no problems with the car or the quality of cheap gas stations.

Well...there is only 3 E85 gas station in my area..the one closest to me is 5 miles, so I can ignore other station that is 15-20 miles away from me..E85 is cheap and the price is very consistent..you dont need research to know the price...

Steve99 is helping me figure this out over on the How to Run E85 on stock 86 FRS BRZ thread. As of right now he wants me to log some full throttle pulls so he can look over rthe data, but so far most things seem okay. I'll update when we have more info.

Are those the ones in the Miami Lakes area? My fuel trims show me I'm close to or just over 70% ethanol content, but it might be worth a try to get gas somewhere else.

When I do my pulls for steve99 I'll let you know for sure I notice a difference in gears 1-3. Right now, pulling away from a red light in traffic (so not fast) the car feels hesitant, and I'm finding myself having to ride the clutch longer (even on first) so I won't stall or jitter around. Once I get going it feels about the same as 93.

Probably around E70. And in the Homestead area, i'm too far to get good corn. My closest station is 5 miles, second closest is 15 miles.
