who collects hot wheels? let see your collection!

I'm a Hot Wheel collector, what I have here is my desk at work. Who else collects and where do you store your collection? Pictures help make this thread interesting!

I used to. Now I just search for Treasure Hunts to resell. I still buy cars that I like though. Just grabbed some Supras and 180sxs the other day.

I don't collect, but my co worker are huge collectors.

They do a lot of mods/customizing. I'll try and snap a few pics of the stuff they bring by.

OH! I first read this as "I try to snap a few pieces off the stuff" Thought you were a horrible co-worker for a few seconds.

Not Hot Wheels but still have most of my childhood collection of Matchbox cars.
You can tell from the vehicles that most predate the existence of Hot Wheels. The original 1966 Batmoblie and the Monkees car are sort of a dead giveaway as to the years.

A couple are but not nearly as much as if I had boxes. Last I looked they were worth about $5 to $10 each which isn't bad since they cost 25 cents to buy. There are a couple that were given to me by a neighbor which are much older and from the very first release series that are worth about $50 each. The white Mustang one was from before the car was actually released and used to be worth about $20 but the prices swing like crazy and may not be worth anything now. The Batmoblie was worth big $$s once but it was rereleased and that knocked the crap out of the value. The cases are where the real money is though. They look ratty in the pictures but they are actually really good and completely intact so can fetch $200 to $300.
Doesn't matter since I would never part with any of them anyway.

Never got into Hot Wheels since by the time they became available in Canada I was already into real cars and had discovered girls were not so yucky after all.

i could have sworn there was another thread about hot wheels?

anyway yeah Richard rabe kinda got me into it again. he used to post links to lamely group and some pics of his finds on facebook.
some of the recent stuff (japan legends) are really awesome!

I just found TWO midas monkeys over the weekend!
im not in it for the money, just like the cool designs of real cars. I made a custom of my old AE86 a couple years ago. some of the new wheels are great for customs. especially the old school SSR MkII looking ones!
still looking for a white fugu Z. haven't seen one in the wild yet...
