86 rubber floormats
Does anyone know if these are available yet? Being that I live in chicago and it can rain, snow, and hail all in the same day, i'd like some rubber floormats preferably 86 badged.:thanks:

I live in California and I still want rubber mats over the carpets :/

I wonder if this is something I can purchase from the stealership? luckily, I have at least another 4 months before snow, so i'm hoping to get something before then

The 86 has this option and Nigel has them for sale. Seems a bit pricey but looks very nice and probably good quality. Only thing is it's made for RHD. Not sure how this will fit in our LHD cars. Possibly another country that sells 86s might have this option as well.

I live in Chicago, too. Placed an order for my FR-S on Saturday (me=stupidly excited). For the OP from Chicago - do you plan to get winter tires when the inevitable crap weather arrives? I'll follow this post closely as I DEFINITELY want rubber mats to keep as much water/dirt/salt off the carpet as possible.

But for anyone that lives where it snows, rubber floormates is a must. |
Don't plan on being able to get good rubber floor mats from the U.S. Toyota dealers. After the unintended acceleration scandal they recalled all of their floor mats and started offering crappy replacements that don't have thick enough lips on the edges to catch dirt, water, snow, etc.
Example: http://mbu.com/prius/matrev1.jpg I would recommend WeatherTech. They have an excellent product and they're made in the good ol' U.S.-of-A. Open any car magazine and there's a several-page spread on their products. |

Canadians get both the carpet floor mat and the rubber floor mats included with their vehicle. I just did the PDI on the one that I bought and it came with both.
|
I'm pretty sure I remember one of the first guys to get his car mentioned taking it to WeatherTech to have them measure up for the DigitalFit liners. Nothing on their site as of yet though. I really liked the ones my friend had in his Tacoma.

I have a Canadian car and it also came with both sets of mats. As said above, the OEM rubber mats aren't all that. They are thin and don't look like they would have much capacity for snow/water. I'm sure WeatherTech will have something soon. When they do, I will buy 'em.

I've put in several requests to WeatherTech for the digital fit floor liners for the FR-S. I had them for my two previous cars. They are the best.
http://www.weathertech.com/product-e...er-digitalfit/ I hope to see them before the first snow. Probably wouldn't hurt to have a few more people request them. http://www.weathertech.com/service/p...-request-form/ |
sent in a request for subaru and scion!
