Lexus LS430 Experience
Hey guys,
I've been recently looking into getting a 2005 and up LS 430 and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Engine and transmission appear to be bullet proof and they don't seem to have much issues with them. My plan is just to have a nice cruiser with air ride and a nice set of wheels. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks fellas. |

I am looking to buy an earlier GS series for my wife.
She has a Silverado currently and wants something that is a little more comfy. I think an older GS would be nice for her and it would allow us to reduce the mileage on the truck. Everyone that I have know who have had these earlier Lexus's (Lexi?) have had great experiences with them. |
can't go wrong with either GS or LS

Ummm....
You might want to see if the starter motor has been replaced... I am not 100% positive, but I think that year is one of the years where the starter motor is actually inside the engine and replacing it is a total PITA involving removal of all coolant, accessories, wiring, and the intake manifold. Dealership replacement in the $1000+ range. Lexus cars are very durable and reliable, but some design choices are... interesting. Ask about what to look for in the lexus forums. |
^^ that could be very true. The only reason I will not buy a newish Lexus is because I do all my own work, and if you notice the engines used now in Lexus are not the same engines used in the Toyotas. As an example: A toyota camry v6 is not used in the lexus...
Acura uses Honda engines such as the J-series.. |
