car dies when car is put in neutral
1 Attachment(s)
After acceleration, when I put the car in neurtal and coasting the car the fuel system goes to 4 (shutting PI and DI off) not sure why. I have ID850 injectors and the AVO turbo kit @10 psi installed. You can see in the log when the engine speed drops to 0 the fuel system foes to 4. I've attached the most recent log file and the tune I'm currently running...

YgThese cars like most modern cars will completly shut off fueling during overrun ie when coasting in gear with no throttle input.
Their is a few tavles that control this and the fueling usually resumes arround 1300 prm but is temperature dependant from memory. This is normal even on stock car. If your car is stalling after bigger injectors you might need to look at injector scaling latency and the overun fueling tables. Look at injector pulse widths. You might also need to look at pi\di scaling maybe run full di in the very low load ranges like up to 0.3 load It micht also be due to intake or exhaust leaks or blow off valve leak. Have a look to see if ltft is high at idle and then ok higher rpm usually sign of leak especially if high positive |
I'm getting thw exact same issue except im on stock fueling. Just got my turbo in about a week ago, and now coasting to a stop right after putting the clutch in it stalls out and dies. Id love to fimd out why

If it's essentially just stalling, it's likely to be the fuel setup. I doubt it's the fuel resume but it's not injecting the right amount of fuel. Adjusting the ignition timing at idle might help too. |
+1 on what @Kodename47 said
This guys installed 450 cc injectors but you kight want to look at similar tables and maybe the manifold presure comp table as your turbo http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...9&postcount=14 |
Sorry, it's taken me a while to get back... I was testing with a bunch of fueling settings and whatnot. I still having the issue. Do you think it could be a bad high pressure fuel pump acting up? I haven't had it replaced since the TSB came out (because I'm lazy)
