if you were really a scammer i doubt you would have spent this long only to attain such little pay off. Plus generally everyone is quite patient provided you remain active and provide updates every 5 days or so.

Once we finalise numbers; co-ordinate final price with supplier... divide that by the number of people, add enough to cover customs charges/duties, and add some to the interstate members so you can ship their ones to them.

Organising group buys isn't terribly hard... it just requires co-ordination and in return you get the thanks from all the members

:thanks:

Thank you for your trust mate! It is sweet. Yes, I have been making effort for 86 fans in this forum and I did achieve some good reputation from the Opti Coat thread that the awesome job done by Frank. I do not know him before, and I do not get any commission. So, if you guys could trust me, it is the easiest way to go. Regarding to local receiver, let us see anyone can be the volunteer..

FT86_Zero 07-16-2012 10:21 PM

BTW, I feel little bit sad, as most of people just care about the cheaper price, even no one gives me a thank…..:cry:

I'm happy to, but there only seems to be one other Melbourne order, so I don't know if it will help much :P

just get everyone to submit trader feedback once the group buy is complete..

high trading status is better than "thanks" anyways ;)

Its prob best you submit the total number of purchase to the vendor to get a total cost inc shipping first (bearing in mind we the guy with different item may have different cost)?

Duty seems to be around 15% based on the below which looks like a major PITA paperwork:
http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5549.asp#Above1000

People can make a decision to go ahead or not once we have clearer picture..

proficience 07-17-2012 12:21 AM

I'm definately in if its < $100 all up. Pegasus White. Local Syd pick-up would be great. I don't mind paying deposit before it arrives mate I trust you ;)

RAN94A 07-17-2012 12:33 AM

@FT86_Zero

suggest you edit your posts to remove pricing information in line with the suppliers request.
(both your initial post as well as the latest one)

and as per this update from the supplier i would close the group buy at the end of this week.

From there we will advise the supplier of current numbers and ask for a final price.

We can then do some calculations (feel free to PM me) based on the details from @xeri as it appears it will be:

total price of item
+ Customs duty (5%) of item price
+ Shipping and handling to you

=Subtotal $

+GST (10% on all of above)

= Total cost to your door.

Then add shipping to interstate members. Like i said happy to discuss further over PM

This.
How many we got now? Surely its over 20. Let's get the total amounts sorted so we can get the order in with the supplier ASAP.

I'm pretty sure BeatSonic Japan post its items individually to each customer, as such we dont have to worry about import duties.

All we have to do now is find out how we can pay.

I am contacting BeatSonic to see if they could post the Fin individually.

I wouldnt have thought with a "group buy" that they would be happy to post individual items.. at the group price..

but hey :) ill await eagerly as to their response as it would make it a hell of a lot easier should they decide to do that.

xeri 07-17-2012 04:07 AM

I think thats how beat sonic usa did their group buy..

Each person pay beat sonic and get shipped a fin. The point is that they can confidently manufacture and sell 20+ fins...i know its not a lot but it prob takes a person an hour to package and ship 20 different boxes.

Otherwise maybe try contacting beat usa? :p

Matthung 07-17-2012 04:15 AM

Hi, iam in for a black one.....if under $100.......Thanks

FT86_Zero 07-17-2012 04:27 AM

Hi Guys, I have got confirmation from BeatSonic Japan.

All of you have paypal account?

I am guessing you are willing to pay BeatSonic directly rather than to transfer money to me, right? Haha.

Psoo2010 07-17-2012 04:44 AM

PayPal is fine.

You don't need a PayPal account to pay someone via PayPal. All you need is a credit card.

MF_DEUCE 07-17-2012 05:07 AM

whats the final price on one of these?

FT86_Zero 07-17-2012 05:46 AM

Guys, please let me know if you are ok with:

$90 for each Fin, will be individually posted to your home.

So, it mean, we pay together, and receive individually.

You guys transfer $90 to my bank account with your Forum User ID, once I see the money I will PM you and add you to the list. You need let me know your postal address. I will set up a due date. Then I pay to BeatSonic and they will ship all the items out to each of your home

frogglez 07-17-2012 06:03 AM

I am good with that just pm me your details and when u need the $$ by.

And thanks

Please don't take this the wrong way, but in the above post did you confirm that we can pay directly to Beatsonic? So how come we're paying you now?

OK, let me clarify this. Firstly, I never used the Paypal and I don't have a Paypal account. And I think some of you are same as me, maybe don't have a paypal account.

Even if I gather all of your Paypal accounts, we have to wait until more than 20 people pay the money. But rest of those ones who have already paid have to wait. I am not sure how actually it is working, but it is my understanding.

The group buy price is based on the large number of order amount. So that's why I am thinking it will be much easier to do a bank transfer, then as the total amount is above the minimum credit card payment (130,000 JPY), so that once I receive your order by due date, I am going to pay and so BeatSonic will arrange the shipment posting to your address in 3-5 working days.

Hope this makes sense to you guys. It is your call. I asked for $90, and I will return the residual money to each of you (I have created couple of Group Buy thread and I am not making money ), if it is short, I am not actually expecting you pay me back as the product has already been received by you.

To be honest, I don't mind if you are in or not, it is your call, I am doing favor for your benefit. For the group buy, I almost have spent more than 2 hours a day to contact suppliers and post update here. You can go to check the Opti Coat by Frank thread to see how is that going.:party0030:

I am willing to pay the full price $150 to get my own one. But I am always thinking why not try to contribute and obtain benefit for all 86 fans in Oz, specially Sydney...

Anyway, I have explained my point. The choice is in your mind.

Gir 07-17-2012 07:12 AM

I'm in for $90.

JiB 07-17-2012 07:16 AM

FT86_Zero 07-17-2012 07:21 AM

If I see more than 10 people are willing to do this, I don't mind to buy another 10 and sell it to market :)

I just checked the eBay, the raw one (not painted cost US$226)

giraffee 07-17-2012 07:29 AM
