Detail and Opticoat 2.0 Application in North Carolina 7/14/12

Had my BRZ opticoated by Martin @ Autofinesse

His professionalism and work was excellent! My car was in pretty pristine shape when I brought it in but I needed the Opticoat to protect from the continual rain and elements. Job took about 6 hours (full detail included). I dont have many before pictures but here are some he sent me throughout the process.

Overall I would rate his work 10/10. He also spent the time to teach me proper methods of washing and how to use each product he offered (either other companies or his product) and never pressured me to buy anything.

No Clear bra. I will be putting a clear bra on the headlights to prevent chipping and yellowing that happens over time.

the difference is not entirely obvious to see. I think in general the Pearl type paints do not "mirror" as much as the "metallic" paints. The fact that my car is also brand new (2 weeks old) never been parked overnight outside meant my paint was in very good condition and hard to see the contrast. But I did it mainly for the upkeep. I have a very busy schedule and will prolly only get to wash it once every 3-5 weeks.

I have to say though.. the way water and dirt is repelled from the surface is amazing!

Great to see Martin taking care of you! I have purchased endless AutoFinesse products from him. He has a wealth of information on not only how to detail your car, but how to rip it at the track!

The BRZ looks great!

I can imagine it being a little bit tougher to see the difference with a white car. What's more important though is how it's going to protect the paint! I imagine it to be very well worth it. :w00t:

I just got mine done yesterday.

When we pulled the car out of my garage and we were looking for any high spots, it burned our eyes because of how shiny it was!

It keeps the car alot cleaner. I don't think many can tell the difference but it's going to keep that paint clean.

Ohh you lucky bastard. Having your car detailed by MartinD must have experience. I just want to go to NC to buy everything in his shop.
