Which hid plug n play kit?

I've just done a ton of research for my cousin who just purchased a FRS yesterday. We're leaning on this one http://www.philipshidkits.com/xenon-...nversion-kits/

I believe this is authentic philips hid conversion kit and the main parts are made in Germany.

If you don't think this kit is any good, which one would you recommend and why?

The price is very high.

I put HIDs in my 600RR for about $80 shipped from DDM Tuning.

55W 6000k

With a lifetime warranty.

Sorry but DDMtuning is a horrible company with cheap products and AWFUL customer service.

I've been F'd by them far too much.

Their kits last about 1 year on average and they will make every effort to avoid you for warranty or returns. I have sat waiting on hold for 2 hours or more during business hours. They don't reply to emails. When they eventually do they say they are forwarding you to someone else but you don't hear anything for months.

Total garbage. They have the worst quality bulbs that produce the most awful beams - and to top it off they cheap out on packaging to the point where you're scratching your head wondering if they just sent you used product.

Buy something somewhat better like Litech through a reputable vendor.

DDM does have terrible customer service!

Their HIDs seemed to be fine quality to me. 25,000+ kilometers and they still burn strong.

DDM is hit or miss. Though since they're local to me, I thought to give them a shot for my Civic. $30 for a set, why not. It's been a year now and so far they're still fine.

Anyways, back in my forum, these are the popular non-DDM choice:
http://www.kbcarstuff.com/HID-Kits-s/216.htm

Hear good things about them and the Volt look good for the money.
And they stand behind their products.

I looked at that website as well, their kits are the same price as the actual philips kit, but they use their own ballasts.

Any of the ghetto 100 dollar kits looks like crap and glares oncoming traffic.

Retrofit HID projectors with the hid kit and do it right - for 300 bucks and a few hours you're still 1000 dollars cheaper than OEM hids. And you don't look like a redneck douche.

That's the best route, but they don't offer it with a better ballast/bulb and don't I have to take off the head lights and remove the halogen shell to insert the brackets/projector ?

My cousin just wants something that's plug n play.

I've used Mengmotorsports.com hid kits on my older cars no problem, I have their v2 kits on my FRS now too and love em. Great customer service personally, but I hear their great customer service in general too

That's what the f150 guys say when they jam the kits into their nice reflectors.

He wants a bulb switch that's plug and play just get some awesome OSRAM or Philips halogen bulbs. Look like hids too.

had no problems with ddmtuning except for the led bulbs i bought for the highbeams/drl.. they wouldnt fit in the hole.

but i bought 2sets of 35W raptor hid kits 5k.. for $30 a piece and they came in 1 week from china.. (where most if not all sets are made for most companies)

i have had ddm tuning on my altima coupe and sentra... i like the raptor kit vs slim kit look
