For those running a TRD battery clamp, what size Optima battery fits it?

Did you ever end up buying this combo? Was kind of considering something similar and curious how well they mesh.

Old thread, but reviving. I have ordered the Optima Yellow Top 51R, which has similar dimensions to the TRD Battery Bar. I will maintain the battery also on a tender/maintainer when not used for an extended time. I have always wanted to use my TRD Battery Bar to accentuate the matching strut bar.. I do have the smaller TRD Battery Bar, which supposedly fits the JDM Panasonic battery with a 127mm width. The Optima is anywhere between 126.49/128 mm and so I'm hoping it will be fine. Pictures to follow of install. Maybe I'll make it a DIY if there is a demand and of course if it is successful.

Why do people waste money on Optima batteries? You're paying for the shape gimmick.

NorthStar NSB-AGM-35 ($270, better performance)
Odyssey 35-PC1400 Battery ($250, Great performance, will be a tight fit)
Intimidator 9A35/85 ($175ish, better price and performance)
Duralast Platinum 35-AGM ($199, better performance, Johnson Control made like Optima)

Thanks for the info... Just so you know, the TRD Battery bar needs a 51R Battery Group due to size.
The Group 35 batteries you list will not fit it.
I will look into if they have the 51R sizes.
As with any build, to each his own, but I do thank you for broadening my view the available other companies.
I was not successful in my search to find this list of alternatives.

For those that do want to see how the Optima fits, I will post pics when it comes in later this week.

BTW the D51R Optima Yellow top was $214.19 +13.54 tax = $227.73 ($12 core deposit, so actually $215.73, with 10% discount) middle of the road price in your grouping.

No worries... but I once saw a TRD battery bar that was for a group 35, but the guy wanted $300.00... so I let that unicorn get away...

Installed TRD Carbon Battery Bar

5 Attachment(s)
Installed the TRD Carbon Fiber Battery Bar.
Matches the Carbon Fiber Strut Bar.
Looks nice next to the other TRD tidbits...
Have to look into the JDM battery plastic holder to ensure proper fit.
Also need an JDM hold down bolt.

Otherwise, very clean and the yellow top matches the rest of the yellow caps/cover.
