ARK Road Spec Catback

Does anyone have this exhaust? I found a few videos online.

Any word on how this sounds with a cat less UEL header? Looking for any info I can get.

Magazine review I found; http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...-Shootout.aspx

Looks like almost an exact knockoff of the Greddy Supreme SP, so I would assume the sound is similar.

Is ARK Design a different company than ARK Performance? I thought ARK just had the GRIP exhaust for the 86?

AREN 04-04-2017 09:26 AM

I think they are different companies. But yea the design is similar to the Greddy Supreme SP and Invidia Q300, so as @Clipdat mentioned the sound will be similar with UEL headers.

Is this a different ARK company?? Didn't suspect that.

Do you mean the internals of the muffler are the same?

As far as the muffler design?

Ark Design is a company based in Japan and ModInJapan, in California, sells there stuff on here. I have their RaceSpec twin and love it. Its a great design and build quality is excellent. Its not to loud at startup and idle but has a nice low tone that would pair nicely with a UEL header, thats my plan in a couple months. Its a good exhaust to keep the levels down while going straight though. Driving around is very mild and has a good low tone to it, its not obnoxious at all. Little to no drone what so ever but you can somewhat hear it, easily have a conversation.

I know that the Racespec single is just a little bit louder but not by much. The Road spec is similar in design to the Q300 so its relatively quiet but still has a nice bassy tone to it. If you can find a video with the Q300 paired with an UEL it will be about there. You can also PM ModinJapan to see if they know of anyone that has a similar setup to what you want.

Yes. It almost looks exactly the same if you compare both systems side by side.
