Fifteen52 Turbomacs - Which size to get?

I'm thinking of getting these turbomacs in matte black for my Halo 86.

I just need some help figuring what size to get. One of the guys at fifteen52 told me the 17x8 Turbomac weighs 22lbs, the 18x9 Turbomac weighs 25.4lbs. He also said the ET30 fitment was the closest I'd get to flush with my car lowered on TRD springs.

I looked through the wheel info on the forum trying to figure which size to get but that just left me with more questions. Is the extra weight in the 18s worth having the wider wheel? What benefits are there for either size?

What tires do people favor for DD?

These cars do not need 18" wheels. If weight is a big concern for you they make forged turbomacs

I saw that but at $1399.52 per wheel for the forged version the weight isn't that big an issue. I was just wondering about the cast versions.

I'd get 17x8. Tires are cheaper, you'll have less of a weight penalty and with a +30 offset, they'll look good on the car.
