Minor paint damage

Hate to say it, it happened :(. Getting off a 16 hour shift at the hospital, reversed, going 2 mph my drivers side rear quarter panel grazed the bumper of an 08 ford explorer. No body damage to either car, but paint went down to primer. Anyone know any good paint shops that don't charge an arm and a leg to fix this?

Thanks a bunch, your help is really appreciated!

If it's small, you can try to do it your self. Think of it as a fun side project. Get a little rubbing alcohol to clean the "wound" out and call around to dealers to get touch up paint. You will have a better chance of finding the paint at a subaru shop.

There are a lot of DIY on youtube on how to touchup small paint scuffs. If you don't have the time, or don't want to deal with it (hospital shifts really sap up time and energy) I can call my guy and see what it will be.

Thatd be sweet. Shouldnt you know I have the shittiest of luck in the universe. Yesterday some dude in his chevelle ss tries to do some dukes of hazard shit on the road, looses his driveshaft and a piece of it hits my front bumper. This is not my week. Yea ive seen how to do it, but unfortunately I dont really have the time to. Itd be sweet to find out around how much it would be. Thanks!

I can relate! I've had my BRZ for 6 weeks:

Have bumped a car in the Wendy's drive thru which cracked the headlight housing and bent the bumper up
Had a jealous teenager throw change at my drivers side while driving and run away leavings TONS of dings
Demolished a cat

:(

My insurance has vandalism protection so it's gonna be fixed. But damn if it doesn't hurt me a little more inside everytime I see all the dings getting into the car everyday. :(

I got some touch up paint thanks to Hawaiian pointing me to a really good guy in the chicagoland area. Im probably gonna fill it, and sand it down, then polish and see how it comes out. It sucks, just puts me in a bad mood seeing/thinking about it :|

That makes me feel better, just scraped my front fender all my own fault, makes me feel blue (the car's white.

Carnica http://carnicainc.com/ These guys are great for really minor work in a pinch.
I've seen good and in a couple rare cases bad touch up work from them but it depends on the technician.
Usually really good for minor touch ups on dark colors. Silvers and the like are a challenge for any painter to match.
Many of the Toyota dealers in the Chicagoland area use these guys.
