TPMS in Canadian 2017 BRZ?

I went to the auto show this week and was checking out the BRZ, mainly to see if I actually fit in one. Subaru reps were helpful with most of my questions, but couldn't tell me if the Canadian model had TPMS...

Searched around the forums a bit and can't seem to find a definitive answer for the 2017 version. It seems 2013-15 didn't have it in Canada, so it's pointing towards no. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Mostly curious because if I get one I'd like to ditch the prius tires and use the stock rims for snow tires, and buy a set of rims for summer tires. If I need to deal with TPMS sensors for the new rims then that's another cost to consider.

Thanks for any help =)

Can't say that it does unless I'm wrong.

Haven't had any issues with error prompts swapping between summer/winter sets.

Well, the 2017 Toyota 86 does, and it's TPMS have a SU (subaru?) part number. Annoyingly, Toyota Canada sold me TPMS for my summer wheels, then discovered that they don't have the OBD system updates that pair the sensors to the new cars. Apparently they're different than all previous FRS's. Stupid random blinky light. Grumble.

Yes the manual was the first place I looked and didn't seem to give me a firm answer. "Vehicles with a tire pressure monitoring system" in brackets says to me it might vary between the USA and Canadian version since the manual covers both.

Hmmm... I did just check the vehicle comparison section on the Toyota website and with the BRZ entered it shows that both have the "low tire pressure warning". This note is there with the standard or sport-tech version...

How much were a set of sensors?

I'll see if a dealership can tell me when I go for a test drive fairly soon.. I am assuming the service department should know the answer to this.

Part # SU003-06090 $49.95 (55.95 after taxes) each.

So I just got back from the dealership, and they informed me the 2017 BRZ in Canada does NOT have TPMS.

The 2017 Toyota 86 does, but only the USA version of the BRZ has this system.

It was explained to me that it has something to do with preventing the import of canadian subaru's to the USA due to the stronger US dollar.

What a car by the way.... I think I'm going to move on getting one! :)
