Sirius(ly) Irritated
I have had Sirius off and on since '02 and have noticed a huge increase in music being done by someone/groups other than the original artists between then and now; particularly with the 50's on 5.
I am sure Sirius does it to save $ by not having to pay royalties for playing originals. Even worse than these "fake originals", again on Channel 5, is the practice of creating songs (fake fakes) that have the 50's sound (beat, etc.) but are really not from that era. These songs may have been created last week by some no-name group, but are played and (mis) represented as 50's music. Again Sirius trying to save $ at the listeners expense. Anyone else feel the same way or is it just me?:bs: |
Did you just copy and paste the same thing to two posts ?

Yes, I decided my post to another thread should have a thread of its own. Is there a forum rule against that? |
I don't think the majority of us even listen to 50's music, nor would we be able to tell if it was "authentic".
Maybe you should post this on a Sirius Radio forum. |

Yeah, I could see that. BPM and ElecArea play a ton of remixes but almost no originals. So much so that when I hear the original I don't recognize it.

Considering this has no direct relation to the cars, I think this thread belongs in the Off-Topic forum.

I listen to Octane, Faction, Electric Area, BPM in that order of preference. Very rarely do I venture to Boneyard or Liquid Metal and practically never anywhere else.
Edit: Also, Jason Ellis is awesome! |
I finally realized that I could get people to stop asking me questions about the effing car by blasting Hair Nation. Try it if you aren't in the mood to talk.

Not a satellite fan...sound quality seemed bad in my other car with sat. Like a 90kbps mp3 or something.
