Pure Automotive's MoTeC Plug and Play V8 Swap Thread
Hey fellow swap lovers,
I decided to make a separate thread to keep a journal of the V8 electronics swap kit. Here's the situation we have with this car: The car is currently a running LS swapped FRS. The car has an aftermarket tach, no power steering, no ABS, a crappy working gas guage, and a wonkily working coolant gauge. It's a built LS2 403 stroker, low compression built for nitrous/boost. Currently has a 150 shot making just over 500whp and 550tq. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3a0l0rfz.jpg We are in the process of taking our 100% functional 2JZ swap software and converting it LSX swap software. If you haven't seen it already, here's our 2JZ swap package and how it all works: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR_kQgv4lts[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DD0ObbQJ2k[/ame] I'll be doing some before and after pics of the "old way" of wiring the swap vs our way! |

Looking forward to this. Hoping I can sell a lot of my parts to almost cover the cost of motec in the future.

Out of curiosity, would this function with a push start car? (i.e. BRZ limited, series 10/ 1.0/ 2.0 FRS, etc.)
|
I'm in for one too.

Well damn...make me number two!

Will this be able to pass an obd2 emissions inspection scan? I know it may be a long shot. I'm in PA and I'm trying figure out how much hassle getting a swapped car to be street legal will be. I know you can do a state inspection referee for engine swaps. Recertification for a vehicle with an engine swap requires CAFE like standards to be followed. Not sure if it's more trouble than it's worth. Insert: #shouldaboughtausedcorvette, #shouldaboughtafactory5cobrakit
