For those of you whose dealer is telling them it's the tint, copy this picture. This is a 2013 BRZ with NO TINT ON THE FRONT WINDOWS! It's not tint and dealers are idiotic for even suggesting that.

I've noticed a couple times when I'm driving, I'm hearing wind noise from the driver side, and if I pull the window up button, I can hear the windows close just a little bit. Is this related? Part of the stripping is bulging form the inside.

Yeah I went to the dealership a couple of weeks ago with the same window problem and they blamed it on my tint. Wouldn't do anything to fix it!

I would go to another dealer. This is not the only tint-less car I've seen with the problem. Sorry they weren't helpful. Hopefully another one will be. Make sure to show them this pic. I can get another pic of a red FRS this weekend if you want. He also has no tint, but his seal is folded.

I am planning on trying another one, every time I have an issue they try and blame it on something else. They blamed the creaking nose from my back dash on the amp I had and my trunk. I brought them the details I found in this sit which said that persons car was lowered and without even looking they told me it was because my car was lowered when it's still stock smh

LOL. I would shoot a call to toyota and let them know what the dealer is doing. If the part you have swapped out is not directly responsible (and they have to prove it), it's under warranty.

We have some crappy dealers here too, but they will at least swap stuff out when it goes bad. My car hardly looks stock, but they've been great so far.

Well, at 42k miles this has finally happened to me. My car is out of warranty now so I gotta figure out either a fix with my current one or replace it myself with a new one

Does anyone know the part number for the seals?

Yup, just go to the dealer. they will probably try to play around with the tension, but they should order new seals.

I finally got my new seals today on both sides.

I noticed the lining flaps a bit (where it overlaps), is that normal?

fasteddy 12-18-2014 02:06 PM

Does anyone know if the seals were revised and are an updated part #?

Yep (at least on mine). Part of the revised function of the part I guess.

had the same issue. dealership is replacing weatherstripping under warranty with supposedly a revised weatherstrip. bring the car in if you have this issue.
