Squeaky EBC Yellowstuff Brakes
Yesterday I installed new EBC Yellowstuff Brake Pads on all four wheels, along with stainless steel brake lines. I did apply some brake grease between the backside of the pads and the thin caliber shim or plate that came with it.
On their first drive, they were squealing louder than a stuck pig. Is this normal during bed-in period? Should I just be patient? It is disturbingly loud. |
from my experience they will squeal for the first 100-200 miles. after that it will get substantially better and they will squeal periodically through their lifespan but not like they are now. its crazy how fast they go from squealing pig to quiet though when they bed in.

If you have somewhere out you can safely do some hard stops, then coast around for a while you can get them to quiet down way sooner. But they will always make noise for the first few stops each day.
