The stock knob has a decent weight to it. Unfortunately, some of them (i.e. mine) rattled a bit (not the most sturdy thing).
I had a WC Lathewerks stainless steel ball shift knob - looked and felt great as long as it was neither summer nor winter. |
I have a heavier shift knob in the classic white "Hurst Cue Ball" style with the correct 6 speed shift pattern. I like the feel much better than the stock knob. It feels better to grip, extends the lever a bit to provide more leverage, and just feels more solid. Of course it also makes the car at least 5 mph faster.

I got my shift knob! It feels so smooth. It got rid of that notchy shifting. No regrets! I also got Tien coilovers and Ark Grip Exhaust. :D  2013 SCION FRS (Argento) Instagram: @theunforgottenfrs |

Now, don't let the extra HP get away from you ...... :burnrubber: humfrz |
I have the Kartboy SSK and with their shift knob. It wasn't great. I bought a heavy knob and see if it helped but it made it even more notchy. Ended up with a stock knob and felt great.
