so what does this mean exactly ?
'we do have a total of three FRS 10 series we're getting ready. All in the criteria you're looking for if you'd like more information or would like to schedule an appointment to come in do not hesitate to contact me via email or by phone thanks'
the message above is what I got from the salesperson. so what does he mean when he stated that 'we're getting ready'. I checked their website to see each of their specific specs but there weren't any. is it safe for me to assume that they are getting these FR-S soon? and just happened to let me know about this before they even arrive at their dealership? English isn't my first language so I don't know what it really means. any help would really be appreciated. P.S: I called him but he did not pick up his phone / emailed him but no response. |
Maybe the salesman means they have the cars at the dealership and they are preparing them for sale.
I'd suggest you try calling him again or ask to speak to the sales manager. humfrz |

So maybe the three FRS's they have are base models. It would seem like a lot for a single dealership to have 3 10 series come in, but who knows. |

i agree he probably doesn't know wtf a 10 series is. ask him what year and color they all are and blammo there is your answer.
|
That just means they are prepping the cars for sale. Its either in the garage getting inspected, cleaned/detailed, and/or repaired in some way. When I say repaired I'm not saying it was in a crash or accident. I mostly mean maybe some paint correction or PDR something really small.
As it was said, these sales people sometimes don't know the difference between a base and special edition model. The best thing you can do is keep in touch with him to see exactly when the cars will be at the dealership so you can look at them. |
gettting ready means getting prepped for sale... including taking photos, cleaning up interior, patching up some exterior stuff and such
|
Ok, yeah, but three 10-series at one dealership?
|
If they are really 10 Series he's probably filling up the tires with air, putting in gas, and charging the batteries as these cars (once again IF they are 10 Series) having been sitting on the lot since the summer of 2013. As a quiz I'd ask about their color and if he send you a picture of the front end (check for LEDs in the headlights). Are you near the dealership? What prevents you from making a recon mission of the inventory lot?

Unless you get a very large discount on 10 series. Otherwise, move on and get the monogram or other released series. Why not get the 17' GT86?
|
Why is everybody assuming they are unsold new ones? There was nothing said there to even remotely indicate they were new.
Be odd that they had 3 used ones all at once but not beyond the imagination. The likelihood of having 3 unsold 10s sitting there since when the car was at the height of popularity however is. |

Thank you everyone for the comments :) P.S: I have no intention buying a monogram or release series just because I find 10 series more attractive than those two for some reason haha. I'd love to get myself a brand new Toyota 86 but the price is out of my budget and I personally prefer FR-S's front bumper than 86's. |
