Flasher lights stuck on Tom's tail lights
Hey guys so tonight we got hit with a ton of snow in my area and driving was less then fun as they never plowed with over 4 ft of snow now.
So heres the issue while reving because wheelspin my blinker on the passenger side stayed stuck in on position. And now the blinker stuck does not do anything. I tried turning off the engine restarting nothing, stays lit, i tried unplugging the battery which turns it off obviously but as soon as i plug it in again it turns back on. Now left the battery unplugged just so it does not drain but wondering how to fix my flashers so ppl don't think I'm continuously turning right lol. http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...D533E44164.jpg |
You might consider checking (replacing) the flasher.
You may have a burnt out bulb on that circuit (front or rear). Bubba suggests to bang on the dash and tail light housing real hard .....:eyebulge: @Ultramaroon ...... how about a little help here .....;) humfrz |
Bad flasher relay. Ask me how I know 😉

Jeebus, don't go banging on anything. If it's not the switch on the stalk then I'd go with what BigFatFlip is saying. Makes perfect sense.

damn thanks for the quick help! Any bad effects if i reinstall the stock original relay until the new relay comes in at least to have flashers lol...I mean other than the hyper flash?
|
I guess so. The circuit's fused but why would you want to drive around with your turn signal stuck on? You're not @humfrz' age.

Depend on what blew your other flasher. You could be right back to it stuck on. |
The original flasher relay would not work with the Tom's, would it?
That's why they include a specific different one with the lights, no? I have Tom's too so i'm curious of the answer to this in case it ever happens to me. I would assume it's the relay, but would assume you'd want to order or somehow obtain another Tom's one to ensure everything works properly and you don't short anything else out. |

The flasher included with the Toms is designed to work with the much lower current draw of the LED turn signals. The factory relay "hyperflashes" because it can't tell the difference between LEDs and a burned out bulb. That's all. |
thanks! so for now will roll with hyper flashers, hopefully this solves it will update the thread
