PArt Shop Max Roll center knuckles.
 
Has anyone purchased or gotten more info on the new front and rear Part shop Max front and rear knuckles? Weight, how roll center is corrected, built in drop etc?

Shows 45mm correction on the site description. I'm not sure about weight or anything like that, but typically the height drop is gained by modifying the mounting/pickup locations on the knuckle, itself.

Yeah thats the only amount of info ive found as well. Ive got an email out to them but figured id see if anyone had or ordered a set yet.

For anyone wanting more info, here's their response to my email. I had asked some questions on what they had changed, weight, if they were drop knuckles etc.




Hello,

The front knuckles are forged steel. They are not a drop knuckle. But material is added to the bottom of the knuckles which will flatten out the LCA's and tie rods. Since the knuckles are bigger than stock, they will be a little heavier. The improved roll center and bump steer will definitely be a big advantage for road racing. A bigger advantage than reducing unsprung weight in my opinion. One design aspect that is altered for drifting is that the steering will be slightly quicker than stock knuckles, which is also useful for road racing. We also moved the coilover bracket closer to the outboard side of the knuckles, so the knuckles don't swing around quite as much as stock knuckles. This changes KPI, but I can see that also benefitting you. Basically all of these alterations directly translate to better handling, with the added angle only being a concern when you physically turn the steering wheel super far, which you would never be doing in a road race car anyways. Ackerman is adjustable on these knuckles. You can use these with brakes that would work with stock knuckles. The only concern I have is that if your calipers wrap farther around to the bottom, they could hit the added material for the roll center correction. Look at the pictures of the forged knuckles compared to the pictures of the stock knuckles and you can see the difference is pretty clear.

You can mount our knuckles to any LCA and coilover that works with the stock knuckles. Just make sure you have camber plates and adjustable ride height. You will also need our outer tie rods to connect to the adjustable ackerman plates.

The rear knuckles actually are drop knuckles. The hubs are raised up which drops the rear of the car. You can then adjust your coilovers to compensate which will put you back at your usual ride height but now with improved control arm angle. They use spherical bearings at all control arm connection points. Any brakes that work on the stock rear knuckles will work with ours. The weight of the rear knuckle will be very similar to the stock weight.
We have redesigned the upper control arm connection to the knuckles to allow them to freely move up and down without reaching a limit of articulation. That is a problem with the stock upper arms that have a vertically oriented ball joint. our arms will also have extra clearance for the axles so you do not have them rubbing on the arms.

The connection for the toe rods are also altered on the knuckles for the same reason (maximum free movement up and down). So you will need Rear knuckles/toe rods/upper control arms. You can use other brand rear lower arms and traction rods.
