Sound resonator Sprintex 210 charger

I just purchased the 210 series for my 2015. I plan on the install this summer. I was wanting to know about the square sound resonator coming from the stock air box with this install. On most of the installs and pics I have never seen this removed. Other than resonating the intake sound does it affect the tune in anyway with the blower? Thoughts on removing it. I am up to thread 165 on the innovative blower info and have not read anything on it.

I am just getting everything together before the install and would appreciate any info on it. Thanks Steve

it is gone, you do not need the artificial sound as you can enjoy the supercharger wine.

I think he was referring to the Helmoltz resonator attached to the right side of the air box, not the kazoo.
@sroby, I don't know if there's any benefit to leaving it installed. I think with such a radical change in configuration, any OEM devices installed to tune (or detune) the intake become useless.

If you're talking about the little resonator/reservoirs boxes coming off the main airbox removing them will affect the AFR so i wouldn't go removing them with a stock car or after it's been tuned.

I think there was a thread somewhere on the forums where someone explored plugging these, and it had a detrimental effect.

Leave it on. Anything that contains extra air volume in the Airbox will help, so I can't see plugging it as beneficial. Leaving it open isn't a good idea either as it'll add turbulence and allow engine bay temperatures to impact IATs. The Sprintex does a reasonable job of heating up the charge so you want as cool as possible.

This was the first week I had mine installed, 210 kit with the perrin intake (which is now carb legal, btw)
