Do someone have this actual rep on? I want to see how it looks I'm thinking of getting OLM or GCS for this. Gloss or Textured.

Let me know if you get them.

I'll buy your old fender garnishes.

Thanks

I have mine on, they are replicas and they are painted flat black. I Will find a photo

Some old ones I found on my instagram

Textured GCS ones are crap. I should've read the description better. No clips...just 3M on top of factory garnish...i can't imagine these are going to hold and fitment is not the best. That's what I get for going cheap. I'll be going with authentic instead. Lesson learned.

yam86 04-14-2017 08:53 PM

Should have gone for the OLM instead?

ThomasKrown 04-14-2017 09:32 PM

Maybe those were strong words but I'd rather have the piece of mind knowing that they snap in with also 3m than just 3m. I'm just not confident in them staying on. Do the OLM ones replace the garnish part or just 3m over the stock ones like the GCS ones I have?

I don't know I'm choosing between the two. You have any pics for the fender insert overlay?

Don't be so quick to judge 3m, that stuff holds on real well. That's the only thing that holds on most spoilers. Just need to make sure you clean and prep properly for good adhesion.

I wonder if these things fit the '17 86. That part does look slightly different on my car and protrudes out a bit

D_Thissen 04-19-2017 11:53 AM

3M tape, especially the automotive tape, is pretty strong. I used it to install my TRD rep spoiler over 2 years ago and haven't had a single issue. Its all about the prep work.

All replica TRD side aero fins attach with 3m, mine have held on for 2 years now. Sorry for not responding to your PM months back - I was posting the photo to show you what they look like - mine are not for sale. fitment is like 85-90%, not noticeable at all until you are up close - benefit is you do not need to take off the OEM pieces. Plus you could sell these used for 80 (unpainted) to fund the TRD ones down the road if you decide you like these
