OFT VVT Intake log values are abnormal.

Hi,

Recently I found that OFT shows abnormal VVT intake values.
See this video.

Do you have same symptom?

I've PM'd Shiv but no reply yet.

I don't think 100 degree is normal for VVT Intake value.
Do you?

The values are jumping from 0 to 100 or 50.
Previously it hasn't been like that.
I've used OFT over two years and done VVT optimization using vgi's tool many times.

aagun 03-07-2017 07:15 AM

one minute
thats not normal

as the rom the value of 100 is ERROR . that can not read by ecu . if so the AVCS will jump to AVCS error mode

if there are no cel . then everything on engine side is ok

@steve99 can help here

No CEL.
So I suspect an OFT bug (recently added).
VVT exhaust values are looking good as before.

My colleague is also experienced the same symptom.

Are you connecting the OFT directly to the OBD port, or do you have an extension cable/Y cable?

murdoc 03-07-2017 12:07 PM

Did you try unplugging the tablet and plugging it back in?

I connected 86 nanny first to the OBD port and connected OFT after that.

But before, to say, Mar. 4, OFT logged without an issue.

So they're both connected at the same time?

For me, logging with the OFT and my P3Cars Gauge both connected to the OBD port at the same time, i would get reading errors like that. When both try to read from the same port at the same time, you get an error reading and it displays the lowest value for a split of a second.

Both connected but 86nanny is not a reading device but a writing(sending pedal dance command) device.

I've tried with only OFT connected but no good.

Only VVT intake values are odd.

I'm using A01E rom. Maybe only that CAL ID has an issue.

I just updated my off, and its doing the same thing. I switched it to "intake vvt at" and it reads normal values.

It will almost certainly be a logging issue with your rom calid or an error in the latest OFT update/template file
