Got in standby.

Fun facts: The sign on the gate to the parking lot where we raced says "No Parking." I guess that's because it's there for racing. :) I also noticed a pair of cows in the field above the parking lot watching us race.

I think Waldorf is the better venue (really appreciate that they open up the bathrooms to us), but James Wood HS had a lot of charm to it as well. Good event.

$10 Discount on Second Slot

We will be continuing the $10 second slot discount for this event.

For anyone paying for a second slot, the second slot will be $10 off. So if you are a member the second slot for a member will only be $20. If the second slot is for a non-member the cost will be $30 (rather than $40).

The second slot can be used the same driver (e.g. they would drive in two heats) or for a guest.

If you sign up for a second slot, just type "Second Slot" in the Notes Section. Otherwise, we may think you mistakenly submitted duplicate reservations.

Remember, to make a second slot, MAKE A SECOND RESERVATION (if the second slot is for a different person, type "Second slot for (type the name of the first slot person)".

-Several people used the second slot for a guest (some that never autocrossed with CDC)
-Many participants used the second slot to get 12 runs
-Some used the second slot to be a point autocross in the 6 morning runs (since only the first 6 counted for points) then treated the afternoon as a TNT by trading cars with other two slot participants

This offer is only extended for this event at James Wood HS on Saturday July 15th, 2017.

Thread updated for Aug 19th. 86EXPO is that day as well so I'm only participating in the morning.

Here's the detailed information for the August 19th autocross AND August 20th Test and Tune:

SATurday August 19th Autocross

Harry Grove Stadium, Frederick, MD is the location of the next CDC autocross on Saturday August 19th. We will also have a Test and Tune Sunday August 20th.

Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accommodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute.

The event fee for the Saturday autocross is $30 for members and $40 for non-members ($10 goes for a one day membership per slot - so a double slot would have to pay the $10 membership both times) at this event.

SUNday August 20th Test and Tune Day

These Sunday Test and Tune Events will be held the day after the Saturday Harry Grove Stadium Autocrosses in Frederick , MD. The Test and Tune event will be an informal autocross using the same/similar course as the day before. The differences are the following:

  1. Field is limited to 40 participants with about 5 organizers (for a total of 45 vehicles).
  2. Times will be announced, but no results (we typically post but no promises), no points, and no indexes will be posted –This is only for fun
  3. No extra runs if we miss a time – This is only for fun
  4. The format will be 2 heats with 5 morning and afternoon runs (number of runs in the afternoon will depend on time and weather conditions. We hope to give 9 to 11 runs).
  5. No food or drinks will be provided – We need to keep the amount of equipment to a minimum. So plan on either bringing drinks and food or going out to lunch.
  6. Event is open to members and their guests only, since the event is so limited in size.
  7. The entry fee is $35 per member, $45 for non-members ($10 goes for a one day membership per slot - so a double slot would have to pay the $10 membership both times).

All 40 slots will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

On-line Reservation System

Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time at www.capitaldrivingclub.com under the Schedule Tab. Open reservations for non-members for this event begin Friday August 11th.
