OZ Ultraleggera 18x8+48 anthracite on Firestorm

Just picked these up today.

They're 18x8+48 OZ Ultraleggeras in Anthracite.

Tires are 225/40/18 Continental Sport Contact 2s.

Note - hub centric rings needed with these.

Initial impressions - tons more grip than the OEM 16s I was on, heavier steering response, increased ride harshness and more road noise. Pretty much as one would expect.

The weight of the tires is around 23 lbs each and the wheels are around 18 each so they're pretty much equivalent to the OEM 17" setup in terms of weight.

I know you can go lighter (had the choice of some 17" Aleggeritas which we test fitted) but these simply looked better on the car to me and there's no real performance negatives compared to OEM, just more grip.

So, enjoy.

And yes, I know it needs a drop.

Waiting for the Racecompengineering starter pack to come out then just an exhaust, some brake pads, high temp fluid and I think I'll be all done here.
:)

For track stuff I think I'll just be sticking my 16s back on with some R compound rubber.

Yessir.

I actually don't think it needs a drop there at all. I kinda like that look!

Thanks heaps for posting though! It's either these or the enkei gtc01's for me! I know these are a much better wheel though..... I'm surprised you found the steering more heavy too.

Looks great on the firestorm! :)

I was expecting the steering to be a little heavier because my original wheels were the OEM 16s. Shouldn't be much heavier

Overall it's much more planted

:)

16's? So the 17s are only US standard?

the cheaper model comes with some nice looking 16" wheels in Australia

btw, where did you get the hub rings from? anywhere specific? is there any specific type you got? did you have to get them separately? cheers again!

That looks fantastic. I think we all get a little obsessed with flush fitting rims and tires, but sometimes the right setup comes along and it all just works without being too agressive. I even think the ride height looks fine.

Nice wheels buddy, yalla lowering time now ;)

Looks amazing. Also interested in any info you could offer about the hub centric rings. Any fitment issues?
